Privacy Policy

Rodgers Tanui ("we," "us," or "our") built the One app ("One," "the app," or "the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use One on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac.

  • We do not require an account to use One.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
  • Your tasks and reflections are stored on your device. Optional iCloud sync uses your Apple ID and Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.
  • You can export or delete your data from within the app.

Information you provide

When you use One, you may enter daily task titles, optional notes, reflection responses, and reminder preferences. This content is stored locally on your device and may sync to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit when iCloud is enabled.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect name, email, or contact information through the app (unless you email us for support), location data, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers for tracking, or analytics sent to third-party providers. One's privacy manifest declares no tracking.

How we use information

Your app content is used only to provide One's functionality: displaying today's task and history, powering widgets and notifications, calculating stats, and syncing across your devices when iCloud is enabled. We do not use your content for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

iCloud sync

iCloud sync is optional. When enabled, Apple processes and stores data under Apple's iCloud Terms and Privacy Policy. We do not operate separate cloud servers for your task data.

Notifications

One schedules local notifications on your device for evening planning, morning focus, and optional reflection reminders. You control these in Settings and in system notification permissions. We do not send push notifications from our servers.

Data retention

Your data remains on your device and in your iCloud account if sync is enabled until you delete it using Settings → Export Data or Delete All Data.

Children's privacy

One is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
